Hailing from Valence, France, Gaël Faure got his first guitar when he was 14, and started composing a year after. Whilst studying landscape architecture, he participated in the auditions of the fourth season of Nouvelle Star (the French verson of Pop Idol) in 2005. He didn't win but he released a discreet album, "Jardin de ville " ('A garden in the city') in 2008, and an official début, "De silences en bascules " ('From silence to scales') in 2014. Last year, you could discover on Morphosis the funny video for "Comme si " ('As if') lifted from this album -here- where dude got groomed like an animal in a pet shop. And taken from his forthcoming 'second' album due out next year, here is a first taste entitled "Traverser l'hiver canadien " ('Getting through the Canadian winter') with a promo video he has just dropped today. It was filmed exactly a year ago while touring in Canada, which explains and illustrates the title.
