James Blake - "Retrograde"

James Blake, 24, is an English electronic music producer and singer-songwriter from London. He used to record songs in his bedroom and began his music career by releasing a 12" record, entitled "Air & lack thereof", in the United Kingdom in Summer 2009. He spent the majority of 2010 recording his début self-titled studio album. "Retrograde" is the first single taken from his sophomore album, "Overgrown", due out on April 8th, 2013. The accompanying video, directed by longtime Danish collaborator Martin de Thurah, involves asteroids, alien visitors, bikers who fell to Earth, and a few gorgeously rendered frozen moments of destruction. This luminescent new song trims the external and distort sounds found on his début and delivers pure unadulterated James Blake and it's surprisingly soulful, marking a clear progression from his earlier work.
