Happiness is to be found when in pursuit of it, in the soothed expectation, on the way, not only upon the arrival. Accepting detours, just going the way, which is anyhow not this obvious to anyone.

A NEW CLIP EVERY WEEK HERE

"The way the system works now, you see the clothes, within an hour or so they're online, the world sees them. They don't get to a store for six months. The next week, young celebrity girls are wearing them on red carpets. They're in every magazine. The customer is bored with those clothes by the time they get to the store. They're overexposed, you're tired of them, they've lost their freshness".

Diamond Rings - "I'm just me"

Purveyor of all things glam John O'Regan aka Diamond Rings has just dropped a highly-stylized new vid for his latest hit, "I'm just me", directed by Jared Raab, styled by Charles Youssef and choreographed by John Caffery. The Canadian popster wears his heart on his sleeve and reveals some of the inner-conflict that he felt when growing up. "When I had a young heart, I got a late start, I was too afraid to love. I was afraid of my body or anybody", he sings. "Now I'm growing older, I'm getting bolder, confident in my own skin". Channeling his inner Devo, his deep voice glides over hard beats. Part club music, part indie rock, "I’m just me" definitely improves on his sounds from his début album "Special affections" which was already amazing. Dressed in an angular Eighties suit à la Klaus Nomi with diamond sunglasses, John O dwells in a stage of light and television screens. It screams 'Pop Prince', as the song’s simple message of growing into who you are is blasted through dance beats while male dancers in black move sensually. There’s also some underwater shots and fabulicious dancing by a guy in spandex. Boy dancers and Starck Club imagery punctuate the video with energy as we see Diamond Rings embrace his polished off new self. The track is a preview of his as yet-untitled upcoming sophomore effort also produced by Damian Taylor.
