The story of Marc Stone started in Zurich, Switzerland circa 2009, establishing a inventive style combination of classical-modern, spiced with a hint of future aesthetics. It's avant-garde metts eclecticism. Each collection emerges from an exploration of issues in art, film or music. And besides drafts on a mood board, each is accompanied by its own installation, including a soundtrack. This season's collection, dubbed "Project 12", is once again a play on contrasts : linen vs high-tech fabrics, matt colors vs vibrant red, narrow vs wide silhouettes. Influenced by the work of Oscar Wilde, designer Marco Steiner merged two characters in one. The poet found his inner rebel and the rebel becomes poetic. Were Arthur Rimbaud and Paul Verlaine alive today, they would wear this collection. A success that was rewarded with the Premium Young Designers Award in the menswear category and opened the doors of high-end fashion stores F95 and Galeries Lafayette in Berlin.
