The odds are a poor childhood is always a great source of inspiration for a designer. And it's a fact, the poor and the rich coexist in Brazil. João Pimenta was born in São Sebastião do Paraíso, Minas Gerais. He launched his label in 2003. His childhood was filled with festivities like Congadas and Carnivals. Even if the main theme of this collection is the countryside, he searched once again for references in a female wardrobe for this season. Round silhouettes, fluid and sheer fabrics, and embroideries are just a few of the key features. Experimenting with fabrics is a traditional characteristic of JP's sartorialism. His point is discussing the masculine and feminine position in people who seek freedom through their way of dressing.

love love love this collection! especially the white pieces, seem so light. Loads of the pieces have structures on the chest up and flowy on the chest down. The paradox really charming! and the high-waisted-hemline jacket, I'm a big fan of short tops, so this in incredible! Though never heard of the designer before. Thanks for introducing him.
