The collection Michael Kors showed at Bryant Park for this season was a real about-face from the previous season's black palette in favor of pastels. new York's biggest black and khaki champion went in a decidedly more optimistic direction this time, once again mining the sleek architectural shapes he’s been exploring for the last few ‘go rounds, but rendering them in lovely shades of sea foam blue, mint green and the palest wash of lavender, with a few teal pieces -such as a slashed neck jumper and suit- tipping into the brighter side of the Pantone scale. Besides, Mr Kors used painterly touches to lovely effect.
