Most people are not familiar with Ungaro. Aix-en-Provence-born Emanuel Ungaro, now 75, is a French fashion designer of Italian origin. He started his career in 1958 at Balanciaga, then Courrèges. He launched his own label in 1965 and the menswear collections began in 1973.
This is Norwegian designer Peter Hyde Dundas' last collection for Ungaro (he was replaced by the very French Franck Bodet, formerly at Smalto, for the next collections), which can be adorned by any modern exec, as well as shameless fashionista, who appreciate the slight and tasteful deviations from the classic Euro-chic tailored look.
