John Varvatos

Michigan native John Varvatos joined Polo Raph Lauren in 1983. He was recruited by Calvin Klein in 1990 and was appointed head of menswear design, responsible for the launch of the mens collection and the cK brand. In 1995, he returned to Polo as vice-president in charge of mens design for all Polo Ralph Lauren brands. He created the highly successful Polo Jeans company. In 1999, John Varvatos started his own label.
